Bolivian Rosewood

Description

Bolivian Rosewood, or “Morado” or “Pau Ferro” as it is more commonly known, is a dense, easily worked wood. It is purplish tan in color and streaked with brown or black figure. The wood has a walnut-like scent and takes a beautiful natural polish. For the luthier or hobbyist guitar builder, West Penn Hardwoods offers precut Bolivian Rosewood guitar sets on our Musical Grade Lumber & Sets page. If you are looking for something truly special, we offer “highly figured” turning stock and lumber listed below and on our Unique Boards page. Source Region: Central and South America
